   hi. u need 2 install the program “installer” onto your iphone. atm im working on an unlock software for the uk phones. im getting sumwhere i think. a bit of advice for you fellow deveolopers…. the uk iphone has 1.1.2 and it has a TIFF exploit… yes?….. well y dont you not use a code to overwrite the exploit. thats wot ive done and my code seems 2 b working fine…

   Well, i upgraded to 1.1.2, then downgraded to 1.1.1, re broke in, and because i had the new 4.02.12_G modem firmware used the new unlock and now my phone still powers up and runs (has the old boot loader) but cant see any of the radio (phone, wifi, bluetooth). maybe if i re upgrade to 1.1.2 and try applying again, maybe the hacked modem code only works with 1.1.2 !

   I have appTapp installer on phone, iNdependence on my computer and I can install just the anySIM.app but not the support files. The result is that the icon does not show up on the iphone.
   My phone is 1.0.2. with 04.02.13_G since it was bricked and then upgraded to 1.1.2. It was 1.1.1 out of the box but I’m not sure if the bb firmware was originally 04.01.13_G or 04.02.13_G. Can i even do what i want to do?

   The anySIM option seems better than messing with the bb firmware.

   any advice, PLEASE?

   Did not work for me….I have unlocked plenty of Iphones, Got my hands on my first 1.1.2 a friend upgraded – I downgraded it to 1.1.1 with Itunes, jailbroke with jailbreakme, loaded AnySIM with winscp, ran anysim 1.2, looked ok and anysim said successful, threw a t-mobile sim card in, and no t-mobile service. Just shows no signal strength. Looks like I need to revirginize 4.02.13_G….any ideas on how?? That or Im thinking is it possible to downgrade the modem firmware??

   1.1.2 Firmware + 04.02.13_G Baseband + 04.06_M3S2 Bootloader ??????

   Because i Bought this iPhone out of box in SLC Apple Store.

   I Have also tryed Downgrading Firmware to 1.0.2 and did it just fine, however When I tryed to downgrade the Baseband to 03.14.18_G all goes fine but iEraser nor iEraser2 would not Erase the Firmware, it all ways pings back as 04.2.13_G at bbupdater -v check.

    I just was an ordinary user who browsed the Internet for 3 long days before finding your solution to Unlock. Bought the phone couple of days ago and upgraded accidently to baseband 04.02.13_G then I downgraded the firmware to 1.0.2

    Hi there, i’m trying to unlock my iphone after i lock it accidently, it says version 1.0.2(1c28) and Modem firmware 04.02.13_G. everything seems working on it except my sim card, i tried to unlock it by using anySim 1.0.2 but its saying: Please restart your phone
    The firmware on this iphone is already patched.
    anySIM will now quit. Please turn off your phone
    and turn it on again after anysim quits. and my sim still not working. any one knows what should i do??? please and thanks

    you can downgrade the Baseband to 3 or 4.01. even if you have the 4.02.13G.
    1 )Downgrade to 1.0.2 firmware (there are some tutorials in a lot of forums)
    2) Unlock with independence (Activation , SSH, …)
    Connect to your Iphone with Cyberduck or Fugu after having activated Wifi and noted the IP Adress (you’ll need it for connection )
    3) once connected go to the root of the iphone directory and copy install.app on it
    4) On your iphone , with installer , just add i.unlock.no
    5) install BB downgrade
    i can give you more details if you need

    the best is to downgrade to 1.1.1 then to 1.0.2 (follow this tutorial http://modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php/Downgrade_Baseband_1.1.1_to_1.0.2_OSX
    IMPORTANT
    i had a problem with 4.02.13_G. Apptap (step seven in the tutorial) did not work. So what i did :
    1) activate with independence (1.0.2 and 4.02.13_G.)
    2) activate wifi on your iphone and note the ip adress
    3) Use Cyberduck or Fugu to connect to your iphone
    (root / dottie or root / alpine , my password was alpine may be it’s the 4.02.13_G. version ???)
    4) download Install.app (you can find a version in the democracy Bundle, just unzip , install.app is in the zip file)
    5) Copy install.app in your Iphone / Applications directory with cyberduck
    6) Restart your iphone i needed , and in install.app go to sources / Edit/Add / and add “i.unlock.no”
    7) you’ll find a unlocking tools directory in the install and run BB Downgrader (1.1.2)

    it downgrades to 3.x than you can use the tutorials , or anysim, … it works perfectly , i used it on 4 iphones.

    I´ve got a huge Problem: I was running AnySim 1.2 for 4.02.13G with my downgraded 1.1.1 iPhone from America but i had the original Sim Card from America inside instead of mine (german O2).
    AnySim ended with success, but my SimCard doesn´t work. When I start AnySim again, then AnySim allways crashes

    I need the install.app, wich you can put per drag and drop with fugu or Transmitter on the iPhone.

    about two post 18 and 23 ,I thought that guy confused between the firmware 1.1.2 out of the box with 1.1.2 is upgraded from 1.0.2 or 1.1.1 ,that are two different things .If you got your Iphone from the week 45-46 ,you never ever use that method as in the post 18 & 23 .     it’s not ridiculous, i bought 10 iphone week 46 (8 from the apple store , 5th av , and Soho, and 2 from At&t store)
    6 were in 1.1.1, 4 in 1.1.2, but not with the 4.6 bootloader.
    I downgraded the 10 (4 when i wrote the post 18). If you follow step by step what i wrote and the tutorial (follow the link) it works perfectly.
    As i said AppTap does not work you have to install it manually as indicated in post 23
    and i think you did not read the post and understand why you have to install , install.app manually
